The Certified Forensic Science Investigator Academy will be held in Jensen Beach, Florida on Hutchinson Island the week of June 13-17, 2016.

Any One (1) Day (1) Program - $ 200.00

The effective and proficient criminal defense investigator is not required to be an expert in the various disciplines of forensic science.  However, an expertise in respect to the application of forensic science as it relates to criminal defense investigation and the development of a sound defense theory is necessary.  The criminal defense investigator should expand their knowledge to include a higher level of understanding of the forensic disciplines.

The Certified Forensic Science Investigator (CFSI) program was created to elevate the ability of the criminal defense investigator to interpret and recognize the need for expert independent analysis.   The CFSI is better positioned to facilitate the efforts of forensic science experts and to incorporate their findings into the investigative process and defense theory development. The CFSI can also serve as the liaison between the legal team and the forensic science experts.  The expertise of the CFSI will enhance the capabilities of the defense team and increase the effectiveness of representation consistent with the demands of due process.
